Deborah M. Wehner

May 31, 1953 - October 12, 2025

Deborah “Deb” Mary (Fullenkamp) Wehner,

Age 72, of Houston, Ohio, passed away peacefully of natural causes late Sunday evening, October 12, 2025, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio.  She was born, May 31, 1953, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Henry Frederick & Mary Margaret (Meyer) Fullenkamp.  On May 24, 1975, at St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia, Ohio, Deb married her husband of 50 years, Robert “Bob” J. Wehner who survives.  Also surviving are two children, Christopher R. Wehner and Andrea M. Wehner, both of Houston; one grand puppy, Charlie Brown; three siblings: Patrick & Linda Fullenkamp of Lebanon, Brenda & Dr. Joseph Demeter of Springfield, and Rose & Gregory Pleiman of Russia; sisters & brothers-in-law: Mary Ann & Robert Hansen of Gettysburg and Carolyn Putnam of Piqua, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Deb was a 1971 graduate of Russia High School.  She then went on to become a registered nurse at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Dayton. She acquired certification for both her RN and specialization in OB.  In 2012, after 38 years of service in OB, she retired from the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Deb, over the years had also worked at Dettmer, Piqua Memorial, Stouder and Joint Township Hospitals.  Deb had also been a Lamaz (childbirth) instructor for 10 years.

She was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church and St. Boniface Catholic Church.  Deb had a great fondness for praying the rosary, especially before each mass.  Deb believed that every delivery she witnessed was a miracle.

Deb was the epitome of kindness, compassion and concern. Deb was the best card sender and gift giver. She used her crafting skills to make knitted hats and gave them to family, friends and those in need. Deb was also a person of family, tradition and collections. She gave yearly Coin Proof Sets, Holiday Barbie Dolls with Ornaments, Budweiser Steins and personally collected Longaberger Baskets.

Deb’s greatest joy was her immediate family, especially her children and grand puppy. Deb dearly loved her children and never missed an opportunity to share her immense pride of their accomplishments. Deb thoroughly enjoyed going to and seeing movies of all genres. Traveling in her RV, Vinny to religious destinations such as EWTN and The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament gave her great jubilation.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 Noon, Friday, October 17, 2025, at St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia with Father Tom Bolte presiding.  Interment will follow at St. Remy Cemetery.  Family & friends may call Thursday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday 10:00 to 11:15 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.  Memorial contributions may be made to Everheart Hospice of Coldwater, R.A.C.K. or the Covington Knights of Columbus.  Private condolences may be expressed at the gehretfuneralhome.com website.
