Craig Leo Gasson,
Age 57, of Fort Loramie, passed away peacefully of natural causes Thursday evening, January 29, 2026, at Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sidney, Ohio. He was born May 20, 1968, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Chalmer & Linda (Watercutter) Gasson who survives in Fort Loramie. Also surviving are three daughters: Amber Gasson of Englewood, FL, Kerstin & Reggie Wiechart of Spencerville and Courtney Gasson & fiancé Dylan McLaughlin of Springboro; five grandchildren: Ava, Adrian, Kenzlee, Evelyn, and Karsyn; three brothers: Chris & Vicki Gasson, Chad & Carolyn Gasson and Corey & Niki Gasson, all of Fort Loramie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Gasson was a 1986 graduate of Fort Loramie High School and also the Upper Valley Joint Vocational School in Piqua. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Fort Loramie Sons of the American Legion.
Craig found his greatest peace outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, and felt most at home surrounded by nature. He had an infectious laugh and a warm smile that could light up any room. Above all, Craig will be remembered for his unmistakable presence, his love of the outdoors, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with Deacon Paul Timmerman presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Family and friends may call Wednesday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Thursday, 9:30 until the hour of services at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie. Memorials may be made to charities of choice.
