Nancy A. Pleiman

March 9, 1948 - August 9, 2026

Nancy Ann (Hoying) Pleiman,

Age 78, of Wright Puthoff Road, Anna, Ohio, passed away peacefully of natural causes at her residence on Sunday morning, August 9, 2026.  She was born March 9, 1948, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Vernon & Betty (Poeppelman) Hoying.  On October 23, 1968, at St. Patrick Church in St. Patrick, Nancy married Stanley Pleiman who survives.  Also surviving are four children:  Mark & Diane Pleiman of Tipp City, Mike & Lisa Pleiman of Fort Loramie, Mitch & Carla Pleiman of Fort Loramie and Molly & Matt Lessing of Fort Loramie; 16 grandchildren: Elizabeth & Michael Wampler, Caleb Pleiman, Kyle & Lauren Pleiman, Nicholas Pleiman & fiancée Audrey Stickel, Kevin Pleiman, Carson Pleiman, Tori & Kyle Hayes, Morgan & Mitch Fiely, Brad Pleiman, Nate & Reyan Pleiman, Emily Pleiman, Jacob Pleiman, Ben Pleiman, Maddison & Jarred Ross, Mallory Lessing & fiancée Devin Flory and Collin Lessing along with 10 great-grandchildren (and two on the way); three brothers: Ron & Lynn Hoying, Doug & Tricia Hoying and Jack & Brenda Hoying, all of Fort Loramie; sisters & brothers-in-law: Connie Kopp of Tipp City, Linda Siegel of Fort Loramie, Ken Pleiman of Fort Loramie and Tom & Jane Pleiman of Fort Loramie; numerous nieces and nephews as well as her life-long companions, aunt Joanie Schwieterman of Coldwater and cousin Donna Winner of Minster.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe & Sue Hoying, infant James Hoying and sisters & brothers-in-law, Pat & Dennis Lallemand, Roger Siegel and Linda Pleiman.

Nancy was a 1966 graduate of Fort Loramie High School.  In 2014, she retired from Fort Loramie Schools where she had been a cook for 30 years.  She attended St. Michael Catholic Church and had been a member of the bell choir and St. Ann’s Ladies Sodality.  Nancy was dedicated to her family.  She loved camping and traveling trips out west.  She knitted and crocheted many afghan blankets for her grandchildren.  Over the years, Nancy enjoyed following all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s school and sports activities.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 13, 2026, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. John Tonkin and Deacon Paul Timmerman presiding.  Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.  Family and friends may call Wednesday, 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Thursday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.  Private condolences may be expressed at the www.gehretfuneralhome.com website.
