Joyce Elaine (Moeller) Aselage,
Age 61, of St. Rt. 362, Minster, Ohio, passed away peacefully of natural causes at her residence early Friday morning, September 26, 2025. She was born October 22, 1963, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Thomas & Mary (Dorsten) Moeller. On October 24, 1987, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, Joyce married Dennis Aselage who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Mitchel & Andrea (Kelbel) Aselage of Carlisle and Dylan Aselage of Botkins; two of four siblings: Michael Moeller (dec.), Diana Moeller (dec.), Judy & Keith Lear of Bradford and Angela & Ron Young of Sidney; Sisters & brothers-in-law: Diana & Edward Westerheide of Fort Loramie, Donald Aselage (dec.), David & Rose Marie Aselage of Fort Loramie, Doris & Dale Armstrong of Russia, Donna & Roger Weidner of Sidney, Debra Byers of Minster, Dorothy & Neal Schafer of Russia, Douglas & Debbie Aselage of Fort Worth, TX and Dale & Marlene (dec.) Aselage of Minster along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Joyce was a 1982 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. She also acquired a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Wright State University in Dayton. She had been employed at the Dannon Company in Minster for nearly 33 years. Previously, she worked 12 years at Hickory Hills in Fort Loramie and had been a substitute teacher for area schools. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and had been active in the Fort Loramie School JV Volleyball and Track & Field programs. She was also a past Liberty Days parade committee chairman. Joyce enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking. Additionally, she was exceptionally gifted at gardening. She followed Browns football, Reds baseball and everything Ohio State. Joyce will continue to be an inspiration for her courage and grace.
Memorial services will be 2:30 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with Deacon Philip Myers presiding. Interment will follow St. Michael Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Gehret Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Everheart Hospice of Greenville or the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad.
